Coco Motion

The sweet smell of decadent chocolate consumed the main hall of Eagles Nest Golf Club on May 5th , 2010, for the inaugural Coco Motion Spring Gala. Branching off from The Chocolate Ball, Coco Motion brings chocolate lovers and the charitably inclined together for a fun night of dancing to old-school tracks, indulging in delicious chocolate creations, and ultimately giving back to a good cause.

Proceeds of the fundraiser went to Vaughan in Motion to Cure Cancer – a not-for-profit organization that’s dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families living in Vaughan. By raising funds for local programs that target cancer prevention, early detection and treatment, Vaughan in Motion makes a momentous mark in the healthcare system.

Chocolate vendors from across the GTA and beyond offered their support by bringing out their talented chefs and specialty creations. Chocolate fondue, truffles, cakes and even dinner entrees were thoroughly enjoyed by guests who purchased their tickets for $50. A silent auction, raffles and door prizes such as art pieces and designer watches were another highlight of the night.

Sumptuous snacks were complemented by chocolate liqueurs and live music from the Royz Band featuring DJ Bongo Girl. The event’s emcee Elvira Carla kept the sugar high strong by entertaining an energetic, sold-out crowd.
